What is this? It means the days of empty music library data are over. When one opens WinAmp in order to play local MP3s for example, in the Local Media view can be seen basic song information: Artist, Album, Track #, Title, Length, etc (assuming music files have already been added to the library). However, as we all know, it is very common for song information to be scattered and these fields are frequently empty. <br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 173px;\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp1-300x162.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345456224110532386\" \/><\/a><br \/>To solve this problem, using WinAmp, in the Local Media view, right click the song, or file, and select &#8220;View File Info&#8221;. <br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 223px;\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp2-300x209.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345457036650151474\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note the empty boxes.<br \/>Now just click Auto-tag and you should see a brief note like this:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 298px; height: 123px;\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp4.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345459930488675410\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anf finally, you can see this killer Journey song&#8217;s information has filled in ;><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 209px;\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/Wamp3-300x196.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345460185807080210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>WinAmp is a very nice application. It is amongst the best media players, IMHO. I recommend it heartily.
