Normally, a Typical installation is fine. An example:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image022-271x300.jpg\" alt=\"image022\" class=\"wp-image-6111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image022-271x300.jpg 271w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image022.jpg 404w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 271px) 100vw, 271px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua; font-size: medium;\">Open the DNS MMC, dig down to the Forward Lookup Zone for the domain,&nbsp; and right-click it. Select New Mail Exchanger. I entered \u201c<b>mail\u201d <\/b>under <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Host or domain<\/span> and then put \u201c<b>mail.riguy.com<\/b>\u201d for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mail server<\/span> . An \u201cA\u201d record (host) for \u201cmail.riguy.com\u201d was created prior to this install. It points to the IP of the server. The name should be intuitive. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua; font-size: medium;\">The Mail server priority was left at default, 10:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"271\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image024-271x300.jpg\" alt=\"image024\" class=\"wp-image-6121\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image024-271x300.jpg 271w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image024.jpg 404w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 271px) 100vw, 271px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">Next, enable or create a (new) user mailbox within Active Directory Users and Computers. Right-click the user within the Users sub-folder, and choose Exchange Tasks:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image026.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image026-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"image026\" class=\"wp-image-6131\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image026-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image026.jpg 503w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">Select Create Mailbox:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image028.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image028-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"image028\" class=\"wp-image-6141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image028-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image028.jpg 503w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">I accepted the defaults, as there is only one Server and Exchange Storage group involved and then moved on to the Next step:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image030.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image030-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"image030\" class=\"wp-image-6151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image030-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image030.jpg 503w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">Click Finish. You see that it took 3 seconds. Not bad. Also note the LDAP information in the results. This is very important Active Directory (Microsoft LDAP) information:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image032.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image032-300x230.jpg\" alt=\"image032\" class=\"wp-image-6161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image032-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image032.jpg 503w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">Afterward, right-click the same domain container (<b>riguy.local<\/b> in this case, seen below, in the left frame) and refresh. For example this can be done to modify permissions of someone who wants to edit the Global Address List. Open Exchange the administrator program, via Start\/Programs\/Microsoft Exchange\/System Manager. Right-click the upper container (organization name):<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image036.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" src=\"http:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image036-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"image036\" class=\"wp-image-6172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image036-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/image036.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: Perpetua;\">Choose Delegate Control, then proceed to add a user.
