To upgrade the PHP version, I open the &#8220;cPanel&#8221; Admin. Your hosting will be different but the general idea is similar: find out where PHP versioning takes place on your host plan. On Go Daddy, it is under Software:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"210\" src=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth8.jpg\" alt=\"Site Health 8\" class=\"wp-image-10740\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth8.jpg 736w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth8-300x86.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In my case, I had PHP verion 7.1 as the current selection. Not bad, but I want to be on the latest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"638\" height=\"383\" src=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth9.jpg\" alt=\"Site Health 9\" class=\"wp-image-10741\" srcset=\"https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth9.jpg 638w, https:\/\/riguy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/SiteHealth9-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simply select 7.3 from the drop down, and hit &#8220;set as current&#8221;. After a few seconds, I hit save, then get a confirmation that the extensions are set.
